Courses at Chelmarsh

RYA Dingy Instructors

Instructor showing the ropes...tying knots

As part of being an RYA Training Institution we run courses for Instructors.

This ensures that you have the quality of instruction expected of such an establishment.  Instructors cover all aspects of sailing for their trainees, from showing them the ropes (quite literally and how to tie them!) to how to right yourself after a capsize.

Our next course for instructors is detailed below.  Please complete the form and post back to Chelmarsh Sailing Club, enclosing a cheque for the full amount, payable to Chelmarsh Sailing Club.

Safety Training

Even on the coldest days we sail... and have rescue in full operation

We take safety very seriously at Chelmarsh, no matter what the weather.

We have two new ‘jaffas’ that we operate as our safety boats and require all our safety officers who on duty to have been through our training course, as set out by the RYA.

We also have regular First Aid training Courses running. Dates for this (and other events) can also be found on our What’s On? Page.
