Taster Days and Starting to Sail

Taster Day

Unfortunately you have missed our taster day for this year, but… that doesn’t mean you can’t find out more or learn to sail with us.  Contact Pete Wilson for further information, or pop up to the club and talk to one of our club members about getting started.

Getting Started

For most people the thought of all of the equipment and where to get a boat from can be a little overwhelming. Chelmarsh can, should you want, hire you a boat for the day. There are willing and supportive members on hand to help you if you require.  Details of suppliers of such things as dry suits and other safety equipment can be easily provided by the club.

We also have a small selection of equipment that can be borrowed, such as buoyancy aids and some smaller wet suits.

If you want to see more on how to sail, why not watch this short video from the RYA?

Starting to Sail… three for three

Three days training and three months membership with free access to club boats and equipment can be snapped up for only £140 for adults and £50 for youths.

We are running this three day introduction to sailing course on Saturdays July 29, August 5 and 12 and you can download further details here.

Both packages include three months membership, three days formal training on the dates above, Saturdays informal training until mid-September, free use of club boats and use of club facilities. A fabulous deal.  Adult price includes the waiving of the joining fee (£50) if you decide to become a full member after three months.
