We sail all year round… very hardy souls at Chelmarsh! Not all of it is racing. We are open most days for social sailing. There is always someone to talk to:
Summer Social and Open Day
This group meets all year (weather permitting) and during the summer months there is a programmed duty for rescue. In the winter rescue is organised by those on the water. This isn’t a formal sailing group, but many club members attend for a short sail, to trim their boats or to take friends and family out. Why not come up to get a taste for this fabulous sporting activity and pastime suitable for all? You can read more about the beginners guide to Saturdays here. If you are on duty, then guidance is here.
Tuesday sailing group meets from 13:00 for a social sail.
The format for sailing on a Wednesday afternoon is for informal racing and tuition. Everybody is welcome from novices to the expert and those who just want to do their own thing! Meet every Wednesday from 12.00 hrs, weather permitting, (15:00 between April & August) and why not stay for our Wednesday Nightcap Pursuit race and cook your tea on our BBQ? If the weather is clement enough, there is a large kitchen available to members to cook on.
For those that either lurk or like on Facebook, We have a public page where news and events at the club are posted for all to see. You can read this on Facebook or on our news pages.
We also have a closed group for members only, where direct message for, and from club members are posted.
There are those of our club who are also ‘tweeters’, why not follow them and their antics. You can also get regular updates on what is coming up at the club.
