We take safety very seriously at Chelmarsh |
|
SUPing, Swimming and Sailing take place, no matter what the weather, and ensuring that all on and in the water are safe is a key part of the club. There is a fleet of volunteer SUPers who keep pace with those taking part in OWS; SUP have buddy rules (which can be downloaded from our documents page) and sailors have rescue boats, in the form of two ribs or ‘jaffa’s’. We require all our safety officers who are on duty to have been through our training course, as set out by the RYA to operate these rescue boats. The current list of qualified persons for safety & powerboat can be found here. We also have regular First Aid training Courses running. Dates for this (and other events) can also be found on our What’s On? Page and webcollect. |
